juneau

Juneau

We arrived in Juneau around noon to a bit of a drizzle. We headed for Mendenhall glacier along with the other 10,000 people that day. Literally. The cruiseships coming into Juneau are even worse than coming into Ketch but the glacier was pretty cool anyway.

We hiked in as close as we could get from that side because of a giant waterfall. There were icebergs floating around the lake and everything. We didn't go swimming cuz we didn't have any goggles but we'll have to see if we can find some before Prudhoe Bay.

We headed for the hotel because it was now late enough to check in and it was raining pretty good. Super8 never looked so good, even at $130 a room.

The only othr thing we did for tthe rest of the day was find something to eat.we got wet in the process but the kid that waited on us filled us in on the current electricity dilemma, something we were interested in so it was ok.
